FUSE BOX
NEW FUSE BOX REQUIRED?
A new fuse box (also known as a consumer unit) usually comes with a rewire because if the wiring system is old, the fuse box is likely to be as well. If the fuse box needs replacing, you may also need a rewire. These days all electrical consumer units must have RCD protection – that means a residual circuit device on all circuits, making your home much safer.

Do you know if your home’s electrical wiring has been checked in the last ten years? If not, it would be a good idea to call us in to take a look. I will never advise rewiring unless it’s absolutely necessary, but if you have ancient electrical wiring, you could be at risk of a fire and your home may not be safe.

Need Extra Sockets?
If you need additional sockets, you may not need a rewire. I’ll let you know when I’ve done a check of your system and may be able to add new sockets there and then. With our experience we will always complete their jobs in the shortest possible time, saving you as much time and money as they can.
